(Base: 4, +2 Voice)
Contribuer: Aella
counterpart to PeIg 10 - Winter's Icy Touch
What baseline is this spell using? And hwo is this intended to work? Removing the water from somebody should not make them feel oppressive heat. Did you mean for this to be PeIg rather than PeAq?

Aella: I'm using the opposite end of the elemental axis. The heat isn't causing dehydration. The dehydration causes the fever. This is the effect of the destruction of the humour phlegm or the water/cooling of a person, and actual dehydration. I am assuming a Corpus requirement would be needed for a more targeted destruction of phlegm. At any rate this is one of the symptoms of dehydration, flush and fever.

Apromor's Cloak

PeAq Level 15
R: Touch, D: Sun, T: Individual
Liquid comming in contact with the target is destroyed. This spell has only a limted capcity to destroy liquids and large quantites of water (such as the spell "mighty torrent of water" or jumping into a pond) may breifly overwhelm the spell's ability to keep its subject dry. The target of this spell is unable to drink without using extraordinary measures, the spell is therefore most frequently cast only a few hours before sun up or sun down.

Ease the Venomous Wound

PeAq (req: Co) Level 15
R: Personal, D: Momentary, T: Individual
The Magus uses this spell to entirely eradicate a poison from his blood.
This spell was designed by Guido of Bjornear to assist him in a battle with a serpent. Unfortunately, the venom was faster acting than he had reckoned, and he lost consciousness before he was able to cast this spell. However, the spell survived and has been invaluable to other magi.

The Deathly Poison Made Safe to Drink

PeAq 20
R: Touch, D: Momentary, T: Individual
Renders any poison in a drink safe to consume.
People are often suspicious of a drink until they see the person who poured it take their own sip. Hadrianus developed this spell so that he could falsely reassure his victim’s that their own cups were safe to drink.

Curse of the Desert Lands

PeAq (req: Au) 95 Faerie Ritual
R: Touch, D: Until, T: Boundary
This spell curses a land (up to 260 miles in diameter), making it as dry as a desert. Rivers will dry up, lakes will dwindle and disappear, and rainfall will drop to null.
This spell was cast by Lancer of Merinitia, who was not satisfied by the limited area and duration of the more traditional ''Calling the Odious Drought'', with the aid of two inferior magi. He cursed the land to wither and die until a “king that has never sinned” sits at its throne. He was very pleased with the results, even if his tribunal wasn’t, and the curse was broken by his death. Although the spell was discovered in his laboratory’s charred remains, he is not generally believed to have been able to develop it. Some of the Flambeau suspected infernal intrigue, but no further evidence for such was ever found. Although the curse was broken, some rivers and numerous springs failed to revive and the land is still lacking for water.
