Muto Ignem

Fire dry or wet.

MuIg 3
R:Touch, D: Concentration, T: Individual
The caster changes how much smoke the target fire produces from as little as if the fire were burning the driest hardwood to as much as if the fire were consuming wet pine needles. Only a fire of 1 pace in diameter or smaller can me affected by this spell.
A similar spell could adjust the fire’s heat, the smell of the smoke or the size of the flames. This spell could also be cast at range voice and duration momentary

Bright Fire of a Winter’s Night

MuIg 15 Faerie
R: Voice, T: Fire, D: Individual
A campfire will give out more heat and burn more brightly without consuming any more fuel. In addition it will produce almost no smoke at all.
Sylvanus of Merinita developed this spell for winter festivals, so that the bright flames would create a pleasant atmosphere for story, song and wine, without smoke getting in everyone’s eyes.

Warm Welcome of the Muddy Hovel

MuIg(Te) 15
R: Touch, D: Diameter, T: Individual
A fire is transformed into a quantity of wet mud, perfect for slinging in someones face and harassing them out the door. A diameter of the sun later, the prudently disguised witch can witness a most amusing scene when the mud turns back to flames, causing distraction and minor damage (+0)

Fire of the Icy Glow

MuIg 20 Faerie
R: Touch, D: Fire, T: Individual
The target fire radiates cold rather than heat. A standard “individual” fire chills sufficiently to take a standard room below freezing. Well or poorly insolated rooms and warm or cold environments will alter this accordingly.

Transmigration of the Wheel, East.

MuIg (req: Aq) 20
R: Voice, D: Concentration, T: Individual
You transform a flame the size of a campfire into water for as long as you concentrate. This deals +5 damage to anyone caught in the fire when it transforms back.
Murcurio of Merinita created this spell as the first of his set of 16 elemental Muto spells (not included in this wiki). Each turns one element into another element. The name is based on the elemental wheel where Air is in the North, Water is in the East, Earth is in the South and Fire is in the West. Therefore, the Fire to Air spell of this set is named: Transmigration of the Wheel, NorthEast.

The Liquid Flame

MuIg 25
R: Touch, D: Sun, T: Individual
This spell transforms a flame up to the size of a small campfire into a strange liquid that burns whatever it touches. The liquid consumes fuel as fire does, turning it into more liquid. If there is no more fuel, the liquid will slowly evaporate. If it is siphoned into a container and sealed away, the liquid can be kept preserved for later use. When the spell expires, the liquid reverts back into fire, and if there is nothing to sustain it, it goes out.

The Hidden Flame

MuIg (req: Te) 35
R: Voice, D: Moon, T: Individual
This spell transforms all the heat and flames of an object the size of a large campfire into a small silver coin. When the spell duration ends, the flames are suddenly restored causing +15 damage to anyone holding the coin. The flames are hot enough to ignite clothing or dry wood; which start to burn naturally.
“Never overcharge a Flambeau”, writes Marcelius.

Notes: The base 10 effect allows fire to be turned into another element, so the requisite is given free.
