Treachery of the Faithful Companion

CrAn 10
R: Eye, D: Concentration, T: Individual
Fills the targeted animal with a loathing for someone or something of your choice. If the animal has a loyal or similar personality trait to the object of its loathing, it may resist with roll of 9+. Otherwise the creature will react according to its nature, often attacking.

The 8-Legged Kiss

CrAn 15
R: Touch, D: Diameter, T: Individual
his spell creates a very foul tempered Black Widow Spider at your fingertips (assuredly touching an enemy). This creeping horror will attempt to bite whatever it is in contact with, and scuttle under cover at the first opportunity. It has a Hide skill of 8, defense of 10, and there could be further difficulties in finding it in robes or layered armor. Check each round to see if the target is bitten. A character in light clothing will be bitten on a simple die roll of 3+, one in heavy clothing will be bitten on a 6+, and those in any sort of armor on a 9+. A target may not know the spider exists until they are bitten, depending where it is created. Stamina save 6+ or receives a Medium wound. These effects end when the spell's duration expire. If dislodged from the targets clothes the Black Widow will flee.

Summon the Web Weavers

CrAn 15
R: Touch, D: Diameter, T: Individual
This spell creates a large, hairy, poisonous looking spider which will scurry away from the point of creation.
Adria of Merinita created this spell to get revenge on some local villagers who had offended her, casting it in their hair or beds whilst invisible. In accordance with her sigil the spiders are bright green in hue.

Arrow of Thulsa

CrAn(Mu) 20
R: Touch, D: Momentary, T: Individual
This spell creates an Adder which the caster mutates into an arrow. If this arrow strikes a target it does its normal damage plus it also inflict a light wound as if the target had been bitten by the Adder. This spell was designed to be cast while holding a bow and the arrow lasts one round allowing the caster to loose the arrow the round after the snake arrow was summoned.
(Base: 10, R: Touch +1, D: Momentary, T: Individual, +1 Muto)
Contributor: Andrew Mitchell
Note: The duration is slightly longer then Momentary.

Charge of the Unicorn

CrAn(Re) 20
R: Voice, D: Momentary, T: Individual
Create a foot-long, spiral horn and hurl it forcefully at a target within range, doing +10 damage. The horn always hits unless it is magically resisted. It disappears after two or three seconds.
(Base 5, +2 Range, +1 Rego Requisite)
Contributor: Andrew Gronosky
Notes: Based on a Fourth Edition spell created by Andrew Gronosky and Arwen Warlock.

Conjure the Stinging Scorpion

CrAn 20
R: Voice, D: Diameter, T: Individual
This creates a scorpion anywhere in range, and if it is agitated it will sting. This causes a Light Wound unless the victim rolls a 9+ on a Stress Die + Stamina. A Botch results in falling Incapacitated.
(Base 5, +2 Range, +1 Diameter)
Contributor: Mark Faulkner

Conjure the Ephemeral Feast

CrAn (req: Ig, Im) 25
R: Touch, D: Sun, T: Individual
Conjure a whole roast pig, piping hot and ready to carve. The Imaginem requisite creates the flavor of salt and spices: a Finesse roll determines how good the roast tastes. There is enough meat to serve 50 people. The food is magical and non-permanent, so at the expiration of the spell's duration, everyone who has eaten it will be hungry again. Some magi use this spell to enable their guests to enjoy more than one feast in a day (the first
one being magical, the second real).

Variants of this spell exist to produce other kinds of meat, such as mutton or even fish.

The Scribe’s Bounty

CrAn Level 25 [Ritual]
[Uses Some Book Title]
R: Touch, D: Momentary, T: Group
You create several blank tomes, with pages of uterine vellum, bound in leather, bone, or ivory. Variants of this spell can include He or Te requirements, to create books with non-Animal bindings. Wizard sigils generally manifest as "watermarks" or alteration of the book's form. When Morte of Criamon casts this spell, the book gives off a faint odor of decaying flesh.
(Base 5: Create a single hide +1 Touch, +1 +2 treated and processed animal product)
Contributor: Valdemar23
[Notes: I don't have access to Covenants, but would imagine this spell can make use of the book quality rules there.]

Conjure the Winged Messenger

CrAn (req: Re) 30
R: Touch, D: Sun, T: Individual
This spell creates a pigeon that can carry a short written message which must be tied to its leg. The Rego requisite allows the caster to direct the bird to fly to a location for which she has an arcane connection (the bird can fly up to 500 miles, non-stop in good weather). The arcane connection is placed in the bird’s beak and remains there for the duration of the flight. At sunset or sunrise the bird disappears, though the message will remain.
Carissa observed that certain breeds of pigeon were capable of finding their way home over long distances and across unfamiliar territory. She developed this spell so she could communicate with her covenant when away on extended journeys.

Notes: Originally included an Auram requisite, that was dropped after discussion. - Y.R.

Conjure the Woolen Garb

CrAn 30
R: Touch, D: Sun, T: Individual
Create a single garment of animal material (wool, leather, silk). A Finesse roll is required to make the garment well-made and tailored to fit a particular person.
This spell is common among Bjornaer magi and other shape-shifters, who often become separated from their clothing. It is also useful as a quick disguise. The caster's Wizard's Sigil usually influences the appearance of the clothing this spell creates.
(Base 5, +1 R: Touch, +2 D: Sun, +2 create finished product)

Summon the Woodland Prowler

CrAn 30
R: Touch, D: Sun, T: Individual
Creates a wolf, which is normal in every sense except that it is not affected by the Gift.
With Avicia’s sigil, the wolves’ canines are particularly long and vicious looking, though this does not affect damage.

CrAn (req: He,Te) 40 Ritual
R: Touch, D: Momentary, T: Individual
Repair minor damage to a written tome.
(Base 15,+1 Touch, +2 Treated or Processed Products, +2 Requisites)

Notes: I included the herbam requisite for the board used in the cover, and both the terram and herbam may be required for ink repair.

Summon the Alpha Woodland Prowler

CrAn (req: Re) 40
R: Touch, D: Sun, T: Individual
Creates a wolf, which is normal in every sense except that it is not affected by the Gift & will obey your commands. The wolf itself is larger than the typical would as he is the Alpha of the pack (Size 0). He will understand direct command as a mundane wolf would, hence, a communication roll is required unless the summoner has another means of communication with the wolf.
With Avicia’s sigil, the wolves’ canines are particularly long and vicious looking, though this does not affect damage.
(B: 15, R: Touch +1, D: Sun +2, T: Individual, +1 Rego Requisite, +1 size)
Contributor: William, transcribed by Yair
Since it's still just size 0, the +1 for size shouldn't be required.

Summon the Wolf Pack

CrAn 40
R: Touch, D: Sun, T: Group
This spell creates a pack of up to ten wolves, which are normal in every sense except they are not affected by the Gift.

Swarm of Angry Hornets

CrAn 40
R: Voice, D: Diameter, T: Group
You conjure a swarm of about one thousand angry, stinging hornets centered on a point within range. The swarm is initially about two paces in diameter but may spread out a little over the spell's duration. The hornets, being magically created, may be kept out by Magic Resistance. You do not have any control over the hornets.
Anyone inside or adjacent to the swarm will suffer dozens of stings. This is equivalent to taking a Light Wound each round. Characters wearing full (not partial) armor may be able to avoid injury: have the swarm roll a stress die +5 damage against the armored characters' Soak, but the hornets cannot inflict worse than a Light wound.
The hornets are also disruptive to magi's concentration; whether or not magus's Parma Magica protects against their stings, all Concentration rolls made within the swarm suffer a -3 penalty and at least one extra botch die.
(Base 5, +2 R: Voice, +1 D: Diameter, +2 T: Group, +2 size )
Contributor: Andrew Gronosky
Notes: Adapted from a Fourth Edition version of this spell, which appeared in Hermes' Portal #5.

CrAn (req: He,Te) 60 Ritual
R: Touch, D: Momentary, T: Individual
Repair all damage to a single written tome.
(Base 35,+1 Touch, +2 Treated or Processed Products, +2 Requisites)
Contributor: Ed Campbell.
Notes: I included the herbam requisite for the board used in the cover, and both the terram and herbam may be required for ink repair.

Arise, My Hounds

CrAn 120 Ritual
R: Special, D: Momentary, T: Special
When this spell is cast, the caster must name up to 10 animals he wishes to resurrect. If their bodies are within 150’, they will be resurrected, fully restored to life and health. It is not known whether it can resurrect magical animals, and if so to what Might.
This spell was supposedly transcribed from the lips a Faerie Lord of Summer Dark. His “hounds” were as big as a small house. He used his powers to constantly resurrect them in a Great Hunt, but the allusion that his powers are Hermetic in nature is dubious at best.
(Base 75, +1 Touch, +4 Boundary, +2 size for a Group of Elephants, +1 size for 300 feet diameter+1 nonstandard parameters)
Contributor: Yair.
Notes: This spell uses a Boundary target with +1 size at Touch range to represent a 300 feet diameter, as a Formulaic spell with nonstandard parameters; see Ars Magica Fifth Edition page 114.
